MR Car Design Audi Q7 Exposed

Marc Reilly, head of the German-based tuner, MR Car Design Company, has taken the new Audi Q7 to a new level of performance and winter driving fun.

The new program for the Q7 gives the SUV a brighter smile with stunning wheels and a more capable suspension to power through snow. The front fascia of the Q7 is modified with new LED daytime running lights and LED indicator strip for a distinct, 2010-facelifted appearance. The stock bodywork on the Q7 is hardly noticeable with the new 9.5 x 22 MRGT22 alloy wheels. Dressed in matte black and showcasing deep lips, the 22-inch wheels are more rugged than they may appear. MR Car Design has fitted 265/35 R22 high-performance Hankook Icebear W300 winter tires to plow through snow. As an option, customers can also order an electronic lowering module to give the Q7 a proper stance.

But what fun is snow driving without power? The 4.2-liter turbodiesel in the Q7 provides decent horsepower with lots of torque stock, but it has the potential to flex its V-8 muscles even more. By installing newly optimized software, MR Car Design raises the horsepower output from 326 to 374 while torque improves by 81 lb-ft. for a total of 641 lb-ft. MR Car Design can also remove the top speed limiter and add a double pack K&N air filter. How does that empty snow-filled parking lot sound now?

Inside modifications are minimal, with the only available upgrade being an Audi RS6 steering wheel.

The entire program for the Q7 from MR Car Design is priced at € 6,999 (+/- 9,400 USD). However, customers can purchase individual upgrades with the wheel and tires being priced at € 2,599 (+/- 3,500 USD), the lowering module for € 299 (+/- 400 USD), removal of the top speed limiter for € 799 (+/- 1,000 USD), and K&N air filters for € 169 (+/- 215 USD).
