Built for an emerging market in the Middle East.

Rolls Royce is back at it with building special edition models with their latest creation: the Ghawwass Phantom Coupé. Many of the most exclusive, unique, and extravagant automobiles can be found in Middle East and now Rolls Royce has slightly increased the super-luxury automotive population in this part of the world.

The new Rolls Royce Bespoke Ghawwass Phantom Coupé takes its name from the Arabic word for ‘driver’ and celebrates the traditional ways that pearls were harvested in the Bahrain, the small island country in the Persian Gulf.

There’s a big reason for Rolls Royce introducing a new, super-exclusive model that references the country of Bahrain. It has the “freest economy in the Middle East” according to the Wall Street Journal, and was ranked as the “world’s fastest growing financial center” in 2008 by the City of London’s Global Financial Centres Index, making the market ripe for the picking for the British automaker.

The Rolls Royce Bespoke Ghawwass Phantom Coupé features a number of spectacular features that pay homage to the region of the world. The exterior wears a beautiful two-tone turchese paint that resembles the blue-green waters of the Gulf. Inside are rich pearl veneers along with a Dhou sailing boat theme that includes embroidered headrests and coachling. Around the passenger seat is a shimmering chrome motif laid into an aluminum setting.

The Rolls Royce Bespoke Ghawwass Phantom Coupé will likely utilize the same 453 bhp and 531 lb-ft. of torque output from the 6.75-liter V-12 engine found in the stock model.
