Jaqet, the California-based leather wallet company, has a slim and sophisticated leather wallet that takes a different approach to how you carry your money and cards. But, the Jaqet Blaq Landscape wallet also has an interesting automotive connection.
Remember that Mazda Kaan single-seat electric racecar concept that won the 2008 Design Challenge at the L. A. Auto Show? Or maybe the Mazda MX-5 Miata is a bit more familiar to you. Well, Jaques Flynn helped lead the design team at Mazda with both cars, and he’s also the founder of Jaqet.
After not being able to find a wallet that suited his tastes and needs, he designed and created one that impressed many friends and colleagues who convinced him to sell the wallets. Now he’s created a range of wallets that are designed to provide an alternative to carrying money and cards in a compact and upscale appearance.
The Jaqet Blaq Landscape Wallet is a compact, handcrafted accessory fabricated entirely in California. The Blaq leather color is exclusive to Jaqet and each wallet is hand-dyed, hand-cut, and hand-stitched with natural thread, ensuring that each individual wallet is unique. The Blaq Landscape Wallet features 4/5 oz. leather and waxed nylon thread and measures 4.125 in. x 2.75 in. (105 mm x 65 mm).
There are two different pockets in the Blaq Landscape Wallet with the inner providing room for up to six cards, while the outer has room for two. A “Cash Flap” gives owners the ability to fold and store a few bills.
The Blaq Landscape Wallet is made from untreated leather and requires a break-in period, but results in a long-lasting and durable product. Customers can buy the wallets directly from Jaqet through their online store for $95.00. Each wallet comes with a special gift box that is also made in California.
