The wheelsandmore Maserati Italian Job Exposed

Bringing out the sport and soul of the Maserati Quattroporte and GranTurismo.

Maserati’s model lineup is known for its superb balance between luxury and thoroughbred Italian sport; a balance that is not found anywhere else in the automotive industry. Both the Quattroporte and GranTurismo showcase Maserati’s unique synthesis of sport and luxury, producing a gratifying driving experience. The German-based wheelsandmore tuning company has tilted the scales by introducing a tuning program dubbed the “Italian Job” for both the GranTurismo and Quattroporte that adds a few extra horses, refines the suspension and brakes, and gives owners a wide selection of stunning wheel options.

For both models, wheelsandmore has developed an ECU tuning program and handmade exhausts to unleash a few Italian stallions. While both models may be powered by a 4.7-liter V-8, the GranTurismo produces 433 bhp compared to the Quattroporte’s 425 hp stock. For the two models, wheelsandmore Maserati has designed a weight optimized stainless steel exhaust system with remote valve flaps. For a custom sound, three different settings are programmed into the exhaust system: race (valves open), sport (pressure dependant), and cruise (valves closed). In combination with the ECU tune, the Gran Turismo puts down an impressive 447 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque, while the Quattroporte makes 440 hp and 490 lb-ft of torque.

Staying true to their name, wheelsandmore offers a number of different wheel and tire combinations ranging from three-piece forged to carbon fiber wheels. For both models, wheelsandmore’s 6 Sporz three-piece forged wheels are available in a high gloss finish and stainless steel outside rim measuring 9.0 x 20 up front and 11.5 x 20 at the rear with 245/35/20 and 285/30/20 Dunlop Sport Maxx or Pirelli P Zero Nero tires. For a more custom look, customers can opt for the three-piece “C-Sport” wheels in sizes 9.0 x 21 up front and 11.5 x 21 or 12.0 x 21 at the rear with Pirelli P Zero Nero tires. Customers looking to create a truly exclusive Maserati can select the carbon fiber wheels. Available for both models, the three-piece wheels measure 9 x 20 up front and 11.5 x 20 at the rear, while the Quattroporte is fitted with Dunlop Sport Maxx tires and the GranTurismo wears Pirelli P Zero Nero tires. For all three sets of wheels, wheelsandmore allows customers to design a unique color combination.

To complete the look for both models, wheelsandmore offers suspension and brake upgrades. For custom driving dynamics the Street Comfort coilover suspension from KW Suspensions is offered, and features adjustable height, compression, and rebound. Peeking from behind the new wheels are new eight-piston front and six-piston rear brake calipers clamping down on 14.96 and 14.2-inch discs for uncompromised stopping power.

The latest tuning program from wheelsandmore for both the Maserati Quattroporte and GranTurismo can be ordered as a complete kit or by individual accessories.
