A sports sedan with style.
The Opel Insignia is a popular sedan for General Motors around the world. It offers sport, comfort, and practicality, and has been used to underpin many other cars in the automaker’s model range. The Insignia OPC is the sportiest version of the car, and boasts a turbo V-6 paired up with all-wheel drive. MR Car Design has unveiled its latest OPC tuning program that makes the sports sedan even more dynamic, powerful, and stylish.
Under the hood of the Opel Insignia OPC sits a turbocharged 2.8-liter V-6 engine that powers all four wheels with 325 horsepower and 321 lb-ft. of torque. The new Opel Insignia OPC tuning program developed by MR Car Design consists of a few simple upgrades that drastically transform the way the sedan drives. A new exhaust system was installed with race catalytic converters, a K&N air was fitted, and the ECU was tuned to boost output to 375 horsepower and 365 lb-ft. of torque.
For the rest of the Insignia OPC tuning program, MR Car Design teamed up with Reil performance. The chassis of the sedan was upgraded with an adjustable G-Ride air suspension that allows the driver to alter ride quality and height. The team then installed a set of 8.5 x 20 front and 9.5 x 20 rear Oxigin aluminum alloy wheels with a ten double-spoke design to give the Insignia OPC a unique stance.
The full Opel Insignia OPC tuning program is currently available from MR Car Design. Pricing has not been released.
