MR Car Design has some Fun with the new Volkswagen Beetle

Giving it some low and go!

The new Volkswagen Beetle has ditched the often-criticized “feminine” character of the previous generation in favor for a bit more brawn combined with iconic classic styling. Now the team at MR Car Design has given it a bit more muscle to back up those looks along with a custom-tailored low stance.

Other than the turbocharged inline-four gasoline engine, the enthusiast’s choice for the Volkswagen Beetle is the 2.0-liter turbodiesel that’s packed with torque and returns excelled fuel mileage. MR Car Design beefed up the masculine oil-burner with a new exhaust system from the catalytic converter back, to reduce backpressure and add a bit of a growl to the German hatchback. The company’s chiptuning software was developed for the 2.0 TDI and output grows from 140 horsepower and 236 lb-ft. of torque all the way up to a beefy 207 horsepower and 310 lb-ft. of torque for quicker acceleration.

The next step for the MR Car Design was to appeal to its largest customer base – the “dubbers.” To do this, they installed a new G-Ride air suspension that allows the height of the front and rear axles to be raised or be lowered all the way to “slammed” stance, either automatically or individually. A range of coilovers are also available for the newest Volkswagen Beetle.

To finish off the stance, MR Car Design has a range of wheels for the Beetle. On the featured car, the German company used the factory 8.0 x 19 wheels and 225/35-19 combined with the G-Ride air suspension, while other sport wheels can be installed from a variety of aftermarket companies as an option.

MR Car Design also offers a range of foil wraps in a wide range of colors or custom-tailored designs along with other exterior options such as colored fog lights.

All of the featured products along with additional upgrades are available for the newest generation of Volkswagen Beetle from MR Car Design. Pricing for the upgrades has not been released.
