When it comes to crazy, head-turning vehicle conversions, the team at XXX Performance isn’t afraid to ruffle a few feathers to create something extraordinary. Their lime green Audi R8 5.2 was their first foray into the Audi R8, and now they are taking things to another level with the GT-X650 widebody Audi R8 5.2.

The new widebody Audi R8 is a perfect representation of the “XXX” name of the German company. It’s downright naughty in the automotive world, as it’s flashy and brazen with all of the muscle to back it up. The Audi R8 5.2 by XXX Performance comes with a GT-X650 widebody kit that includes extended fenders at the front and rear, side skirts, and air inlets. A new front spoiler lip helps to generate downforce while a larger rear spoiler helps to keep the car planted at high speeds. A pair of side skirts helps to connect the extended front and rear fenders while a new bumper with larger vents and exhaust outlets give the R8 5.2 a powerful look.

Other accessories such as new side mirrors, roof scoops, side blades, and rear diffuser can be installed in carbon fiber or given a carbon fiber-look wrap. Contrasting the dark carbon fiber is a new blue CFC chrome wrap that shines in the light. The XXX Performance team also added new Audi-Plus LED headlights and taillights that separate the R8 even further from its factory counterparts. As an option, customers can also opt for the GT-X600 body kit that does not include a widebody conversion.

But XXX Performance wasn’t done there with the exterior transformation. The Audi R8 5.2 was given a new H&R coilover kit that was converted to an air setup and can be altered in terms of height by the driver with the push of a button on the interior. Filling in those big fenders is a set of three-piece Forgiato GTR forged wheels with blue chrome centers in 9.0 x 20 inches up front and 13.0 x 20 at the rear with 235/30 and 325/25 Hankook tires.

Backing up that widebody kit and outlandish looks is a tuned 5.2-liter V-10 driving all four wheels. The XXX Performance team installed a new carbon fiber air intake and an ECU tune, along with a new exhaust system with adjustable valve controls that alters the exhaust note. After all the modifications, the engine is capable of producing 650 horsepower compared to the stock 525 ponies in stock form.

The finishing touch is found on the inside where XXX Performance gives the Audi R8 5.2 a cabin full of soft leather and alcantara on virtually every surface for a comfortable and sporty feel.

The XXX Performance Audi R8 5.2 widebody conversion may not be for everyone, but it’s guaranteed to turn heads. All of the components can be purchased as an entire kit or as individual options.
