The F30 M3 can wait just a bit longer.

The new F30-generation BMW 3-Series is out and we’re left waiting around for that special M-tuned version of it to be unveiled. Luckily, the team at Schmidt Revolution knows that there are quite a few fans out there that are growing impatient and have taken the new 335i to levels of performance that are close to that of the M3.

To accomplish this, the wheel specialists at Schmidt Revolution teamed up with LIGHTWEIGHT to improve all aspects of the car’s performance from engine to chassis. The LIGHTWEIGHT team offers two engine performance upgrade programs for the F30 BMW 335i and an optional titanium muffler with dual 80-mm tailpipes. Level I brings output up to a total of 336 horsepower and 339 lb-ft. of torque while the turbocharged inline-six cylinder engine goes all the way up to 365 horsepower and 354 lb-ft. of torque in the Stage II upgrade package.

One of the main goals for the team at Schmidt Revolution was to increase performance while keeping weight to a minimum. To achieve this, they opted to install their new FS-Line wheels that are made from special stainless steel alloy that is strong, lightweight, and corrosion-resistant. The three-piece wheels were installed in a staggered 8.5 x 20 front and 10.0 x 20 rear setup with Continental 5P tires measuring 235/35-20 and 265/30-20, respectively.

The final step in the conversion was to tune the chassis. Here, new Eibach stabilizers and a Bilstein B-12 chassis were installed to sharpen up handling through the corners. As an option, the EDC-chassis IC module can be reprogrammed as well.

All of the new upgrades featured on the F30 BMW 335i from Schmidt Revolution and LIGHTWEIGHT are currently available. The wheel and tire setup is priced at 6,499 Euros while the chassis upgrades cost 1,999 Euros, and the EDC-chassis optimization 1,500 Euros. The Stage I engine package is priced at 799 Euros and the more powerful Stage II is 1,399 Euros. The titanium muffler is available for an additional 399 Euros.
