The DMC Elegante is a Ferrari 458 Spider Designed for Fun

The Ferrari 458 Spider is often overlooked in the Italian automaker’s lineup because it’s well…a convertible. If you’re in the mood for sport, customers often opt for the 458 Italia, but if you want a super car built from the ground-up as a convertible, there’s the California. But the Ferrari 458 Spider is an incredibly athletic convertible, especially when it’s been upgraded to the DMC Elegante.
The new DMC Elegante is a high-performance convertible that’s just at home on the track as it is cruising down by the beach on a sunny day. DMC Exotic Car Tuning took things to a whole new level in terms of performance and styling with the new package designed specifically for the Ferrari 458 Italia.
Starting things off is a tuned version of the high-revving, mid-mounted 4.5-liter V-8 engine that screams more than ever. The German company installed a new stainless steel exhaust system that optimizes backpressure and lets out a fierce roar along with a new ECU software tune that optimizes the fuel injection and ignition. These upgrades push output all the way up to 600 horsepower and 419 lb-ft. of torque with a fine Italian V-8 sound that fills the open cockpit with enjoyment.
Helping put all of that power to the pavement is a set of new forged wheels and a tuned suspension. The OEM wheels were replaced with staggered 21-inch front and 22-inch rear wheels that are lighter than the ones from the factory for better overall performance. Finished in Virgin Gold or whatever else the customer’s heart desires, the forged wheels are shod in 255/30 front and 335/25 rear Pirelli Sport tires to improve grip. Behind those split-spoke, three-piece wheels are sport springs that emphasize the staggered wheel fitment and work with the Ferrari 458 Spider’s weight distribution for a dynamic ride.
Covering the engine and the rest of the newly upgraded components is a new DMC Elegante aerodynamic package. The Ferrari 458 Spider wears a more aggressive face with a new lip spoiler and ventilated lightweight hood. Funneling air down the sides of the DMC Elegante are a set of side skirts with diffuser plates and flaps similar to the ones found on the front splitter. A pair of carbon fiber side mirrors, front wings, and fog light covers add a touch of style and reduce weight a tad for the super convertible. The rear is even more dynamic as a new trunk wing blade and carbon fiber rear diffuser generates downforce for better high speed stability.
For those that want a bit of custom-tailored luxury with their Ferrari 458 Italia, the DMC Elegante can be ordered with three different interior upgrades. The “small package” includes a variety of buttons and trim sets, the “medium package” adds on a new steering wheel, and a “VIP package” includes an entire interior redesign.
The new DMC Elegante Ferrari 458 Spider is currently available for all to enjoy. The entire aerodynamic kit can be installed without damaging the factory bodywork and the “small” and “medium” interior packages can be installed remotely, while the “VIP” requires shipment to the DMC Exotic Car Tuning headquarters.
