Take Flight in the Mansory Bentley Continental Flying Spur

Mansory Bentley Continental Flying Spur

Triple-tone turbo luxury rocketship.

Mansory must’ve heard that Bentley was bringing its fastest production model ever to the 2014 Geneva Motor Show because they brought their own luxury rocketship that’s a whole five miles-per-hour faster. This is pretty impressive considering that the Mansory Bentley Continental Flying Spur has two more doors than the new 2015 Bentley Continental GT Speed.

What makes this handcrafted luxury sedan so fast is the Mansory-tuned, twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter W-12 sitting under the hood that’s available in two flavors of speed. The first – and most powerful tune – involves the addition of a new ECU and turbocharger optimization program along with a full exhaust system to reduce backpressure. This equates to a total output of 887 horsepower and an electronically-limited 811 lb-ft. of torque to prevent damage to the drivetrain. All that power allows the Mansory Continental Flying Spur to reach 62 mph in just 3.6 seconds, 124 mph in 12.2 seconds and a top speed of 211 mph – 5 mph faster than the fastest production Bentley model.

The second tuning program is for those that don’t need to speed into oblivion. Mansory optimizes the ECU and adds an exhaust system to result in a healthy 735 horsepower and 701 lb-ft. of torque, good for a 0-62 mph time of 4.0 seconds and a 0-124 mph time of 14.0 seconds flat.

Helping maintain that silky smooth Bentley ride is a new body kit made from autoclaved carbon fiber. The Mansory Continental Flying Spur wears a new vented hood, aggressive front bumper with larger air intakes and integrated LED daytime running lights, side skirts, rear bumper, rear spoiler, and diffuser to improve stability at high speeds. After the new body work is fitted, the entire exterior was given a three-tone chrome, brown, and carbon-look color scheme that reflects the power, performance, and style of the new model.

To complete the more ostentatious exterior of the Bentley Continental Flying Spur, Mansory installed a set of their in-house forged wheels. The 22-inch lightweight alloy wheels save 40-percent in unsprung mass, lending to greater overall performance and wear 295/30 Vredestein tires for added grip.

Inside, Mansory gave the Continental Flying Spur an exclusive color scheme that matches the exterior design. The seats, dashboard, steering wheel, door panels, and other parts of the interior wear special beige and blue leather with various stitching patterns to create a warm and special environment.

The new Mansory Bentley Continental Flying Spur is available as an upgrade program, not a complete car. Pricing for the upgrades have not been released.
