Watch the McLaren 675LT Hit the Track

McLaren 675LT Track Day

It’s so dreamy.

That oh-so-magical “Long Tail” name is back on a McLaren in the form of the 675LT and it has quite a few of us excited. The top-dog in the McLaren Super Series is aimed at performance and is the most athletic model you’ll be able to order (until the 500-unit limit is reached) other than the P1.

The new McLaren 675LT tips the scales at just 2,712 lbs. and boasts a ton of aerodynamically-optimized body work along with active aerodynamics. That big automatically-adjusting rear spoiler can be seen generating downforce in the video upon heaving braking entering a corner.

The 3.8-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine that powers the rest of the McLaren model range pumps out 675 horsepower and 516 lb-ft. of torque in this configuration, making it quite the track-day athlete.

At the Circuit de Spa Francorchamps, a camouflaged McLaren 675LT was filmed testing by YouTube user, Gumball, with McLaren’s Chief Test Driver, Chris Goodwin, behind the wheel.

This is only a taste of what’s to come!
