Lightweight works their magic on the BMW X4

All the right stuff.

The mixing and meshing of automotive platforms to create differing types of vehicles is all the rage today, and BMW’s Sport Activity Coupes are just one example. Their latest, the BMW X4, is a compact SAC that shares much of its construction and platform with the X3 but with more emphasis on style with its coupe-like styling.

The team at Lightweight is taking advantage of the new Bavarian with their latest upgrade package. From styling to power, the Lightweight BMW X4 is better in every way.

To start things off, the BMW X4 was given a full Dark Frozen Grey wrap over the entire body and includes special two-component solid filling protection. From there, aerodynamics add a more aggressive presence with a gloss black or carbon fiber finish. A front spoiler sword, rear apron, and rear spoiler all can be had in carbon fiber along with the new side mirrors.

Also contributing to the more aggressive confidence of the BMW X4 is its new stance. Lightweight installed a new set of Hartge Classic 2 set of wheels in a 9.5 x 21 front and 10.5 x 21 rear fitment. New Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires are also worn in a 245/35-21 and 265/30-21 rear fitment for more grip than stock. To finish it all off, the BMW X4 was lowered by 30 mm through the addition of in-house Lightweight and Bilstein components.

Under the hood, the 3.0-liter, turbocharged inline-six cylinder engine has two available tunes from Lightweight to give the Sport Activity Coupe more athleticism. Customers can choose from an additional control module that ups power to 365 horsepower and 509 lb-ft. of torque or another software tune that results in 375 horsepower and 516 lb-ft. of torque. The latter also comes with a top speed increase to 174 mph. Customers can opt for the in-house stainless steel mufflers with frozen grey 4 x 90 mm tailpipes with logos as well as an optional sound generator with adjustable volume.

The final aspect of the conversion was inside of the BMW X4. Lightweight gave the cabin soft black alcantara on the center console and other areas with double stitching. Even the floor gets better with aluminum foot pedals and velour mats with Lightweight logos. Lightweight also offers a special auxiliary display for drivers to enjoy.

The featured Lightweight BMW X4 and all of the pictures upgrades is currently available for 88,000 Euros.
