Getting the Swiss stuff.

The Swiss tuners at DÄHLER Design & Technik GmbH have been working their magic on various BMW and Wiesmann vehicles since 1996. Everything from tuning the engine to modifying the suspension and refining the interior can be done by DÄHLER, and their latest example is the turbocharged M235i drop top.

The twin-scroll turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six sitting under the hood of the BMW M235i Cabriolet has been optimized to produce a considerable increase in power compared to its factory 322 horsepower output. After a full upgrade package and software tune that ensure it all works together, a total of 390 horsepower is produced by the open-top sports car.

With DÄHLER exhaust tips protruding from the rear and a new software optimization, the sports car, the BMW M235i Cabriolet is more than happy to blow past its electronically-limited 179 mph top speed. The M235i xDrive models can also accelerate to 62 mph from rest in just 4.2 seconds.

The suspension, however, is where the BMW M235i Cabriolet really shines and DÄHLER was more than happy to make it even better. Starting things off is a new adjustable DÄHLER coilover suspension that gives drivers the ability to adjust the ride height, compression, and rebound stages for the optimum setup for driving performance. In addition, the factory wheel and tire setup was replaced with new 10-spoke Hartge wheels that perfectly fit with the car’s factory design language.
