The new Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG gives drivers the ability to have a taste of AMG-like performance without actually owning a full-on AMG model. It’s almost like having a shit-ton of caffeine instead of doing a few lines of cocaine. Thankfully, the team at VEATH is here to make the Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG a bit more illicit.
The featured subject of the VAETH transformation is a W205 Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG 4Matic Estate. The 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V-6 engine already has a touch of potency, but VAETH installed their in-house V45 tuning kit to give it a real German punch. A new software tune and upgraded cooling system yields a total of 441 horsepower and 420 lb-ft. of torque – good for quicker acceleration and a 186 mph top speed. A new VEATH stainless steel muffler with 118 x 85 mm tailpipes lends to a more aggressive look and sound as well.
The next step in the Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG package from VAETH involves the chassis. Here, new 8.5 J x 19 wheels with 245/35 ZR19 tires sit at the front and 9.5 J x 19 wheels with 275/30 ZR19 tires are at the rear. These are tasked with handling all 441-horsepower. A new set of springs reduces the ride height by 20 to 40 mm for a better center of gravity while a new braking system consisting of braided steel lines and high-performance racing fluid makes the wagon an all-around performer.
