Opening a Ferrari P4/5C Competizione is a Wonderful Thing

Unwrapping a one-off racer.

The Ferrari P4/5 is the ultimate expression of modern Ferrari technology and classic Italian design by Pininfarina. The one-off supercar is based on the Enzo and was built exclusively for James Glickenhaus, and cost him a reported $4 million to build. The Ferrari P4/5 was created to honor endurance racers of the past and does so beautifully.

But it doesn’t have to do the racing; its Ferrari P4/5 Competizione sibling was the one built for racetrack duty. The Competizione variant raced in both the 2011 and 2012 Nürburgring 24 Hours races finishing 2nd in class, and then 12th place overall/1st in class, respectively.

After Ferrari P4/5 Competizione completed both Nürburgring races, it came back home to see its road-going sibling. But before the reunion could take place, the staff had to disassemble the entire shipping crate and mechanisms that kept it safe on the long journey. In the end, the two cars reunited in the garage and a great deal of pictures was taken to celebrate the event.
