TechArt cranks up the power on the Porsche Cayenne Diesel

German tuner, TechArt, has unveiled a new power kit for the Porsche Cayenne Diesel that boosts power and gives the SUV a more aggressive exhaust note.

Under the hood of the Porsche Cayenne diesel is a 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 engine that boasts impressive fuel economy and low emissions. In stock form the turbodiesel engine makes 240 horsepower and an impressive 4.06 lb-ft. of torque, can accelerate to 62 mph in 7.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 135 mph. The new Techtronic TA058/D1 TechArt Porsche power kit is an easy to install intelligent engine management system that is activated by pressing the sport button in the center console. After the button is pressed the engine management system is altered and increases power to 280 hp and 457 lb-ft. of torque, sending the SUV to 62 mph in 7.4 seconds, 100 mph in 18.9 seconds, and to a top speed of 145 mph.

In addition to the new TA058/D1 power kit, TechArt also offers a new sport exhaust system for the German SUV. The exhaust system gives the diesel engine a powerful growl and ends in twin tailpipes that are embossed with the TechArt logo.

The TA058/D1 power kit and sport exhaust system for the Porsche Cayenne Diesel is currently available from TechArt. The Techtronic power kit maintains all engine electronic protection features and diagnostic systems, and comes standard with and engine and transmission warranty from TechArt. Pricing has not been released.
