Brabus Adds more Sport to the C450 AMG Sport

Because more sport is always better!

Tucked in between the standard Mercedes-Benz C300 and AMG C63 models is the C450 AMG Sport. The middle sibling offers an additional kick in the rear along with a more athletic dynamic while not going full-on mad like the AMG C63. While the C450 AMG Sport bridges the performance gap, there are those that crave a little bit extra, and that’s where Brabus comes in.

The new Brabus PowerXtra B30-410 auxiliary control module increases output while various other Brabus upgrades add to the overall spunky character of the C450 AMG sport.

The twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 gives up two cylinders and one liter of displacement to its older sibling, but it still produces a healthy amount of power in the C450 AMG Sport. Brabus’ PowerXtra B30-410 plug-and-play module tunes the ignition, mapping, and boost pressure to increase power up to 405 horsepower and 420 lb-ft. of torque at 3,700 RPM. That’s good enough to send the all-wheel drive sports car to 62 mph from rest in 4.6 seconds and to a top speed of 174 mph.

Brabus also offers a quad sport exhaust system that fits directly to the factory catalytic converters with integrated butterfly valves that can be controlled from the cockpit. The sound can range from the quiet “Coming Home” to the dramatic at the touch of a button.

Visually, the Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG Sport gets even more assertive thanks to Brabus aerodynamics made from high-grade PUR. A new front spoiler with central blade helps to reduce downforce up front while a diffuser integrates the new quad sport exhaust at the rear. Atop the trunk sits a new spoiler that can also be had in naked carbon fiber and helps stabilize the sports car at high speed.

Beneath the body work sit new Brabus Monoblock S wheels made specifically for the 4MATIC models. The five double-spoke wheels measure 7.5J x 19 up front and 8.5J x 19 at the rear and are shod in 225/40 ZR19 and 255/35 ZR19 tires for optimum grip and handling.

The final aspect of the Brabus transformation for the Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG Sport is the interior. Here, customers can work with the in-house saddlery department to add a variety of breathable leather, alcantara, and other materials along with a range of wood and carbon fiber trims. New aluminum pedals, floor mats, and back-lit door entry sills are also available.
