Get Hardcore with the new G-Power BMW M4 Competition

G-Power BMW M4 Competition

More fun for the factory-optioned sports car.

If you want a more performance-oriented BMW M4, you can check the ‘Competition Package’ option box when you’re ordering. You get a sport-tuned suspension, some added power, and a few other goodies. But, if you want even more out of your Bavarian, you can just let G-Power work their magic.

The new G-Power BMW M4 Competition upgrade program offers drivers even more power, better handling, and better road presence.

The TwinPower 3.0-liter inline-six engine is outfitted with a bespoke lightweight titanium exhaust system with 90 mm carbon tailpipes, larger downpipes, and no catalytic converters for reduced backpressure. Both of the turbochargers also got modified with new flow-optimized CNC-machined turbine and compressor housings, along with aerodynamic turbine housings.

After the installation of the Bi-Tronik 2 V3 ECU software remap that’s tailored for each individual vehicle, the G-Power BMW M4 Competition generates a whopping 600 horsepower at 6,500 RPM and 546 lb-ft. of torque from 4,000 to 5,500 RPM. That’s good for a 0-62 mph time of 3.7 seconds and 199 mph top speed with the factory limiter removed.

Customers that don’t want that kind of serious power can opt for the “middle” package that gives 560 horsepower and 531 lb-ft. of torque or the “starter” pack with 520 horsepower and 516 lb-ft. of torque.

In addition to the engine, the chassis can also be upgraded with the new G-Power BMW M4 Competition program. Here, a new GM4-RS coilover suspension reduces the ride height and sharpens up handling even more than the factory Competition Package. A new set of lightweight Hurricane RR forged wheels are also installed and feature a double-spoke design. The front axle wears the new wheels proudly with a 9.0 x 21 setup with 255/30 ZR21 tires while the rear comes in with a wider 10.5 x 21 setup and 295/25 ZR21 tires.
