Sights set on performance.

The new F82 BMW M4 is the latest in the long, legendary line of BMW M3 models and has aftermarket tuning companies salivating over its potential. Hamann Motorsport is the latest to take advantage of the new German sports car with a full upgrade program that is set to make its global debut at the 2014 Essen Motor Show in early December.

The new Hamann Motorsport BMW M4 is designed to give customers that extra touch of individuality that the factory cannot provide, along with a big helping of power.

Visually, the new Hamann BMW M4 is more striking and aggressive thanks to its new aerodynamically-optimized components. Up front, the fascia wears a new carbon fiber spoiler lip that wraps around the entire bumper and reduces lift. Atop the engine sits a new one-piece carbon fiber hood that wears a partial coating of the car’s body color to showcase its lightweight construction. New, extended side skirts help to visually lower the BMW M4 while a rear diffuser with four carbon wings help channel air. Sitting on the trunk is a large GT3-style rear wing with visible carbon fiber to generate massive amounts of downforce. Four carbon fiber tailpipes measuring 90 mm protrude from the rear skit and emphasize power and performance for the German sports car.

One of the hallmarks for BMW’s M-models are their handling capabilities and driving dynamics. Hamann Motorsport was able to improve upon both of those characteristics with the M4 thanks to a new set of sport anti-roll bars and an overall ride height that’s 30 mm lower. A set of large 9.0J x 21 ET 32 front and 11.0J x 21 ET50 rear Anniversary Evo lightweight wheels create a larger footprint and wear Vredestein Ultrac Vorti R tires measuring 245/30 ZR21 and 305/25 ZR21 to generate massive amounts of grip. Hamann also recommends the M carbon ceramic brakes for the ultimate in stopping performance.

In terms of sheer power, the Hamann Motorsport BMW M4 has all you’ll need. The 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged inline-six is packed with potential that Hamann Motorsport was able to tap into thanks to a special control module. The result is a muscular 517 horsepower and 516 lb-ft. of torque from 1,850 to 5,500 RPM for more exhilarating performance.

Inside, customers can choose to tailor the interior with a few extra goodies from the German tuner. New black anodized aluminum sport pedals and velour floor mats add a special touch while LED welcome lights shine with the Hamann logo.
All of the Hamann Motorsport upgrades featured on the BMW M4 at the Essen Motor Show are currently available as individual upgrades or a complete set. All modifications are performed at the company headquarters in Laupheim, Germany or at international partner locations.
