Bold and Brawny.
Afzal Kahn has always been fond of Jeep models, especially the Wrangler. Its off-road prowess is hard to match and its iconic seven-bar grille sets it apart from the standard SUVs of today. But the Chelsea Truck Company under the Kahn Expedition Vehicles umbrella, looked to give the muscular Jeep a more road-friendly style that would be at home on any boulevard while preserving its off-road capabilities in the new CJ300 Expedition program.
The Jeep Wrangler Sahara 2.8 Diesel four-door was first given a new aerodynamically-designed exterior transformation and then finished with vibrant expedition yellow paint. Staring ahead between the xenon cross-hair headlights and LED daytime running lights is a special Kahn Jeep front grille. Designed and constructed using the latest impact-resistant technology, the new grille features an OEM-quality fitment that slots into the factory mounting points and incorporates its seven vent openings along with the lower valence to improve airflow to the radiator, engine, and intercooler while also preventing debris from entering.
Much of the styling does not diminish the all-terrain capabilities of the CJ300 Expedition Jeep Wrangler. The side mirrors and rear light sections are both finished in body color while the fuel filler cap, rear lights, and side repeaters all wear a smoked black finish. All of the side wing blades were outfitted in carbon fiber to contrast the vibrant yellow color along with the contrasting Kahn branding throughout. The traditional spare wheel on the back of the Jeep was equipped with a new Chelsea Truck Company cover. The finishing touch at the rear is a new cross-hair stainless steel exhaust system.
But one of the most important parts of the CJ300 Expedition is the wheel and tire setup. Sticking to its off-road capabilities, the team at Chelsea Truck Company installed new smoked black Kahn RS wheels with original center caps in a 9 x 20 fitment with 275/55/20 tires that also add a touch of contrasting style. Behind the wheels sit black-painted brake calipers and new mud flaps adorn the wheel wells.
The interior however, shifts its focus more towards comfort and luxury. All of the seats were outfitted with soft quilted and perforated black leather trimmed with yellow stitching. A new black speedometer and tachometer faces the driver while new floor mats, machined and vented aluminum pedals, and stainless steel door entry sills finish the interior.
The new expedition yellow CJ300 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 2.8 Diesel four-door by the Chelsea Truck Company is currently available from Kahn Expedition Vehicles. Customers can custom-order different parts from the program and also design an individual interior to suit their tastes.
