Novitec Rosso Turns the Ferrari 458 Speciale up to 11

Novitec Rosso Ferrari 458 Speciale

The knobs on this Italian supercar go past 10.

The Ferrari 458 Speciale is the ultimate production-spec variant of the 458 and is capable of owning a track. All sorts of new, advanced technology coupled with advanced active aerodynamics and a bump in power make for a razor sharp track weapon. The German tuners at Novitec Rosso were able to take the supercar and turn things up a notch for even more performance and better looks to boot.

The Novitec Rosso Ferrari 458 Speciale has all the right parts in all the right places to make those lap times drop. The most audible part comes from the new high-performance exhaust system made from INCONEL that reduces weight by 15.43 lbs. and resists heat. Exhaust gasses flow through new manifolds, catalytic converters, rear mufflers, and 100 mm dual matte black-coated tailpipes. As an option, the system can be set up with an electronic sound management system. The 4.5-liter V-8 engine also benefits from a new mapping program for ignition and fuel injection along with a higher redline. All that means a 636 horsepower at 9,250 RPM and 422 lb-ft. of torque at 5,500 RPM with a top speed in excess of 205 mph.

All that power reaches the asphalt through a new set of custom-tailored lightweight forged wheels, Pirelli rubber, and an optimized suspension. Novitec Rosso opted for some tailored in-house NF4 forged wheels with a five double-spoke design in a staggered 9.0 x 21 front and 12.0 x 21 rear setup. These wear some sticky Pirelli PZero 255/30 ZR21 and 325/25 ZR21 tires for an extra bit of grip. Helping the wheel fitment achieve maximum traction are new Novitec Rosso sport springs that lower the ride height by 30 mm and can be paired up with sport stabilizer bars. As an option, the Novitec Rosso hydraulic front axle lift system can be installed to raise the ride height by 40 mm at the push of a button.

One of the most advanced parts of the Ferrari 458 Speciale is the active aerodynamics that help generate downforce and optimize stability at the perfect time. This presented a challenge for Novitec Rosso, who took to the wind tunnel to design some new lightweight carbon fiber parts.

The Ferrari 458 Speciale was equipped with a new front spoiler and blade that helps to generate downforce. The central air inlet and hood gain new carbon fiber fairings for better airflow. Along each side of the supercar sit carbon fiber mirror mouldings and door triangles, side sills, and gill-shaped inserts for the rear windows. New air deflectors help to channel air right into the engine bay and help cool the engine and oil coolers. The rear benefits from a new spoiler and carbon fiber diffuser that work with the factory electronically-adjustable active aerodynamics for better downforce and performance. Carbon fiber also makes up the roof and hood along with the vent outlets and fog light surrounds. The finishing touches come in the form of black-tinted taillights with carbon fiber covers, turn signals, and LED brake light for a more sinister appearance.

For those looking to spend some serious seat time in the Ferrari 458 Speciale, Novitec Rosso can upgrade the cabin with a variety of leather, alcantara, and carbon fiber trims to make it a more comfortable place to drive.

The Novitec Rosso Ferrari 458 Speciale can be purchased as an entire upgrade program or as individual accessories for the new track-focused supercar. Pricing has not been released.
