The Quattroporte sharpens its trident.
Maserati’s luxury sedan, the Quattroporte, stands out from its German and British counterparts by offering a unique combination of comfort and striking performance with an Italian exhaust note. The Maserati tuning specialists at Novitec Tridente unleashed the raw power and performance in the Quattroporte, creating a sexy and fierce sedan. – Oh, and there’s some luxury in there too.
The 4.7-liter V-8 found in both the S and Sport GT S trims has been modified by the German tuner and force-fed by a new cogged-belt-driven mechanical supercharger. Boost pressure is limited to 0.35 BAR (5.07 PSI) ensuring a smooth power delivery. Cool air is sucked in through a new water-to-air intercooler with dedicated water circulation and a custom intake manifold on the Novitec Tridente Quattroporte. Along with larger fuel injectors, engineers also remapped the ECU, bringing power up to a whopping 590 hp at 7,300 RPM and 422 lb-ft of torque. With the power increase comes blistering performance. Acceleration to 62 mph from rest takes just 4.6 seconds, while 124 mph is reached in only 14.9 seconds. Top speed for the fiery sedan is 183 mph.
Much of the striking design that the Quattroporte boasts was left largely unchanged by Novitec Tridente. Instead, engineers focused on emphasizing the sexy lines and powerful looks by adding powerful wheels and subtle bodywork. Bigger five-spoke, three-piece alloy wheels measuring 9J x 21 and 11J x 21 have been fitted, giving the Quattroporte a more athletic appearance. The 21-inch wheels wear new Pirelli P Zero shoes, in size 255/30 ZR 21 up front and 295/30 ZR 21 at the rear for greater grip. Further increasing the handling dynamics of the Novitec Tridente Maserati Quattroporte is a new sport suspension that offers adjustable height, compression, and rebound settings. Completing the sportier look is a clear-coated carbon fiber rear spoiler for added downforce.
The luxury traits of the Quattroporte did not go unnoticed by Novitec Tridente during the tuning process. Inside, owners have a wide selection of an alcantara or leather interior for a custom look. An innovative multimedia equipment package is also available, consisting of a television, Blu-Ray player, and high-speed internet connection.
The powerful Novitec Tridente Quattroporte S and Sport GTS tuning program is currently available from the German tuner. Customers can also purchase the engine tuning program separately for a price of € 19,900 (+/- 24,500 USD).
