Making the standard GT2 even better than the RS.

The Porsche 911 GT2 RS is the most extreme 911 ever made for the street. The German automaker poured all of their performance technology and weight-saving tricks into the GT2 RS, slapped on a hefty price tag, and limited it to just 500 units. Unfortunately, many prospective buyers missed out due to the limited number. So, the team at OK-Chiptuning created a new Porsche 911 GT2 Clubsport upgrade program that makes the standard 997 Porsche 911 GT2 even faster and more powerful than its RS-sibling.

The focus for the OK-Chiptuning team was the twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six engine stuffed up the butt of the 911 GT2. The turbocharged engine was outfitted with an Akrapovic racing exhaust with new manifolds and racing catalytic converters to reduce backpressure and improve turbocharger response time. Modified GT2 RS intercoolers help to provide improved cooling efficiency, while a new Sachs racing clutch helps to handle the increase in power. The finishing touch is a new GT2 RS controller that has been modified by the OK-Chiptuning team to accommodate the new upgrades.

After the go-fast goodies have been added to the 911 GT2 Clubsport, the sports car hits drivers with a wall of power. The 3.6-liter produces a whopping 680 bhp and 649 lb-ft. of torque to the rear wheels – 150 bhp over the stock GT2 and 60 bhp over the GT2 RS. This equates to a 0-124 mph sprint of 8.4 seconds and 0-186 mph run of 21.3 seconds. Going from 62 to 124 mph takes a mere 5.1 seconds and 62 to 186 mph is done in only 18 ticks of the clock. Simply put, the OK-Chiptuning 911 GT2 Clubsport is really fast.

Not much has been done in terms of styling as the 911 GT2 comes equipped with pretty advanced aerodynamics. OK-Chiptuning did give the supercar a new set of wheels and tires, with OZ Ultraleggera HLT 19-inch wheels and Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tires to put the power to the road. The OEM GT2 RS rear fascia with LED taillights was also installed with its improved aerodynamics and cooling.

The new engine tune for the Porsche 911 GT2 is available for only 3,500 Euros from OK-Chiptuning. The other upgrades that are part of the 911 GT2 Clubsport are also available.
