The Spofec Rolls Royce Wraith is an Executive Badass

Spofec Rolls Royce Wraith

Big, British super-coupe with German power.

The Rolls Royce Wraith is the big, super-exclusive luxury coupe that is in a league of its own with its Spirit of Ecstasy riding on the front grille. While the coupe may be geared towards luxury rather than being a dynamic sports car, the German tuners at Spofec were able to unleash the athletic character hiding under those sleek, coupe lines.

The transformation of the Spofec Rolls Royce Wraith begins with a full carbon fiber aerodynamic body kit that is designed to fit perfectly with the factory body work. The front fascia is more dramatic and imposing thanks to a new bumper with wider dual flaps that also work to optimize cooling and reduce lift. Hot air is quickly removed from the engine bay and front brakes with new stylized air extractors while new side skirts visually lower the ride height of the Wraith. At the rear, a clear-coated trunklid spoiler sits atop the trunk while a full bumper replacement sits beneath with its clean, wide lines.

Although the exterior is more striking on the Spofec Rolls Royce Wraith, it’s the tuned 6.6-liter, twin-turbocharged V-12 engine that really makes a statement. Spofec designed a new plug-and-play N-Tronic auxiliary module that alters the fuel injection and ignition mapping while also increasing the boost pressure for a wall of power. The added power can be emphasized by the stainless steel sports exhaust system that is up to 11.0 pounds lighter than the factory setup and can be paired up with an electronic sound management system that utilizes actively controlled butterfly valves to allow drivers to control the sound of the exhaust. In total, the Spofec Rolls Royce Wraith can create a whopping 717 horsepower and 727 lb-ft. of torque, allowing the big coupe to reach 62 mph in 4.2 seconds from rest. The top speed however is still electronically limited 155 mph.

Handling that massive amount of power isn’t exactly easy, but Spofec ensures that all those ponies can reach the road thanks to their new chassis upgrades. The factory air suspension is boosted by a new control module that lowers the ride height by 40 mm at speeds under 87 mph and then returns to normal height at higher speeds. Bringing the heavyweight to a fade-free stop are 405 x 30 front and 395 x 38 mm rear carbon-ceramic high-performance brakes that cut an additional 84 lbs. over the factory setup. Those massive vented discs hide behind Spofec SP1 wheels wearing a titanium, silver, or matte black finish. The ten-spoke dual-plane wheels measure 9.0J x 22 up front and 10.5J x 22 at the rear and wear high-performance Pirelli 265/35 ZR22 and 295/30 ZR22 tires to grab at the pavement.

The full Spofec Rolls Royce Wraith conversion is currently available as a complete upgrade program or as individual units. Pricing has not been released.
