Tackle Winter with the A Kahn Design Defender Wide Body

A Kahn Design Land Rover Defender

Old Man Winter better watch out!

Winter driving isn’t the easiest thing to do, especially if you’re not prepared. Too much throttle or braking, the wrong tires, wind, low visibility, and many other factors are all working with that powdery white stuff to make driving a chore. Well, the team at A Kahn Design has a vehicle for that – the Land Rover Defender Wide Body.

The new Land Rover Defender Wide Body is ready to tackle winter and provide occupants with a warm, relaxing atmosphere that’s on par with sitting by the fire sipping a cup of hot cocoa.

Harsh conditions and unforgiving terrain are nothing new for the factory Land Rover Defender, but the team at A Kahn Design has taken things up a notch. The exterior wears a set of lightweight wheel arches with integrated vents that house 18-inch 1983 Defender wheels in an array of custom finishes and original center caps. Meaty off-road tires ensure that feet of snow are chewed up and spit out with ease. A stainless steel front grill with Kahn badge stares ahead with a pair of cross-hair headlights with vented surrounds and clear light lenses. Vents with mesh inserts are worn by the hood and each of the front fenders. Clear side repeaters and taillight lenses give the SUV a fresher look while new Kahn prototype wing blades, tailgate badge, and oval tailgate badge ensure that the Land Rover is unmistakably a Kahn product. The finishing touch is a Chelsea Truck Company spare wheel cover at the rear.

Inside, A Kahn Design has created a superb mix of comfort and sport for those long winter treks. Bespoke front and rear racing seats with quilted black nappa leather, Harris Tweed inserts, silver stitching, and red seat belts comfortably hold passengers in place. The center glove box, dashboard, and door trims wear quilted black nappa leather with grey alcantara and contrasting red and silver stitching patterns while the sun visors and roof lining feature grey alcantara, Harris Tweed inserts, and red stitching. Black piano finish adorns the dashboard while the centerpiece is arguably the Churchill time clock that stands out with its vibrant red color. A red tachometer and machined aluminum pedals face the driver and make winter driving easier on the eyes.

The new Land Rover Defender Wide Body by A Kahn Design is ready to be built for winter or any other kind of nasty weather thrown at the SUV. Customers can tailor the entire vehicle to their specifications both inside and out to create the perfect off-roader.
