Taming the monster.
Pikes Peak has always been one of the biggest challenges for rally drivers due to its elevation, turns, terrain changes, and overall difficulty. In 1990, Jean Louis Mourey made a film titled Climb Dance documenting Ari Vantanen as he drove his Peugeot 405 turbo up Pikes Peak.
The film was made before the days of GoPro cameras and gives us an intimate view of Vantanen’s Pikes Peak run with raw exhaust notes and flying dirt.
The opening credits may take some time, but the video is worth the wait!
