Make a wish and blow out your candles.

The Chevrolet Corvette is celebrating its 60th birthday this year, and just like every birthday celebration, is blowing out its candles – 60 of them to be exact.

To celebrate the 60th anniversary, Chevrolet made a short film starring their Corvette 427 Convertible. The fastest and most powerful convertible from Chevrolet made its way around a racetrack, and blew out 60 candles all by itself, only after making a wish, of course.

The 2013 Chevrolet Corvette 427 Convertible is one impressive performer. Accelerating to 62 mph takes just 3.8 seconds and the quarter mile comes after just 11.8. It can even achieve up to 1.04 G of lateral acceleration! Plus, it’s powered by a 505 horsepower 7.0-liter V-8 engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The Corvette 427 convertible weighs in at just 3,355 lbs. thanks to carbon fiber body work and aerodynamic upgrades, giving it a power-to-weight ratio of 6.64 lbs./hp.

Happy Birthday Corvette and we hope to celebrate many more!
