The car tuning experts at Wimmer RST have gotten the itch for some fun in the sun this winter and the result is a high-powered drop top. Their gold-clad 997 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet has a whole lotta power and the looks that will melt those winter blues away.
The twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six engine sitting over the rear axle was given the full tuning package by Wimmer RST. The team added on a new pair of turbochargers, spark plugs, reinforced piping, and an upgraded fuel pump along with a full software tune. The Wimmer RST Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet also boasts a full stainless steel racing sports exhaust with electronically-adjustable valves and sport catalytic converters. A sports clutch was also added to handle the extra power.
After the upgrades, the Wimmer RST Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet produces an incredible 840 horsepower and 642 lb-ft. of torque. That’s good for a 0-120 mph acceleration time of 10.1 seconds and a top speed of 216 mph.
Wimmer RST also gave the Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet quite the visual enhancement as well, starting with the wheel fitment. Here, new 19-inch black OZ Ultraleggera wheels shod in 235/35 R19 and 305/30 R19 Michelin high-performance tires grab the asphalt while 25 mm spacers at the rear create a wide stance. New KW Variant 3 coilovers finish the new stance and help to improve handling even more.
The final touch for the Wimmer RST Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet is a full vinyl gold wrap that grabs attention anywhere it goes.
The new upgrades featured on the Wimmer RST 997 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet are currently available with the engine modifications costing 39,000 euros and the chassis costing another 7,500 euros.
