V-12 Formula 1 tire shredding.

The Ferrari F50 may not have the same iconic status as the F40 model that preceded it, but it’s still an incredible super car packed with all sorts of Formula 1 technology from the automaker’s own racing program.

The mid-engined super car was powered by a 4.7-liter V-12 engine that produced 513 horsepower at 8,000 RPM and 347 lb-ft. at 6,000 RPM while weighing in at just 436.5 lbs. It featured a carbon fiber tub, lightweight suspension with active damping, and generated 970 lbs of downforce. Acceleration was incredible with 60 mph taking just 3.7 seconds and the ¼-mile in 12.1 seconds at 123 mph.

But enough of the specs just watch this one Ferrari F50 do a burnout and accelerate down a small road in the forest. Luckily, the driver didn’t lose control and spin out into some trees. Then we’d have a new feature for our Friday FAIL!
