“I’m honored to be part of the Invictus Games in Orlando this year and have the opportunity to meet with some of the US team. It was a lot of fun taking on the role of surprise chauffeur and I was pleased to have the opportunity to get to know the competitors and their family members,” said Cena. “We are all indebted to our servicemen and women and I fully support the Games and the opportunity it gives us all to recognize the heroes of our nation. I wish all the competitors the very best of luck for the final stages of the Games.”

Although he was quickly recognized for his unmistakable figure, Cena still proved to be a very big surprise for U.S. team members, Tino Ulli and his girlfriend, Shari Trujillo, and Joshua Jablon and his girlfriend, Lindsey Green.

Jablon, a retired Marine Lance corporal, was able to win a silver medal in the discus throw and a gold medal in the shot-put during the Invictus games. Ulli, a retired Air Force Staff Sergeant, participated in the rowing, powerlifting, and shot-put competitions during the games. Both veterans are affected by PTSD and the games gave them an opportunity to be a part of a comradery and brotherhood during the friendly competition for their country.
