Koenigsegg One:1 Burnout

Good times at Goodwood.

So the Goodwood Festival of Speed went down last weekend and there was all sorts of power on display from vehicles new and old. One of the highlights was the Koenigsegg One:1, a hypercar that’s somehow managed to achieve the magical 1 PS per 1 KG power-to-weight ratio through the use of Swedish black metal magic.

A 5.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine supplies all the power you need to accelerate to 62 mph in 2.8 seconds and 249 mph in just 20 ticks of the clock. Top speed is pegged at 280 mph, but we’re not brave enough to test that anytime soon.

At Goodwood, a Koenigsegg One:1 decided that it would be a good idea to show off with some donuts and burnouts. Thankfully it was strapped with a camera to document the screaming rubber and vortex-creating turbochargers as they spooled up. Then to finish off the day, it sat and revved its mighty V-8 engine to an astonished crowd, impressing everybody except for a kid wearing a blue hoodie.

Would you do burnouts in your Koenigsegg One:1?
