Two concepts on the podium.
Audi has enjoyed quite a successful run at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in recent history. Since 2000, an Audi racecar has taken the checkered flag 11 times out of 13 races. That’s an amazing feat in any sport and shows their dedication to developing new technology to stay ahead of the competition.
At the 80th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Audi ran two new concept cars – two diesel and two hybrid models. The factory racing team was able to lock up the top four positions in the endurance race, with two of its advanced R18 e-tron Quattro models achieving 1st and 2nd place finishes while the R18 Ultras took 3rd and 4th.
Audi’s latest video shows the drama, innovation, technology, and fight that the four teams displayed in the 80th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans as they were able to achieve a full podium finish. It’s quite an accomplishment and we can’t wait to see them at the 2013 race!
