The Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG high-performance luxury compact crossover whatever-you-want-to-call-it might be hard to classify into a specific category, but we know that it has power. And VAETH is proving just how much it really has packed under its hood with its new upgrade programs.
The experienced team at VAETH took the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four cylinder engine to the next level thanks to a range of tuning options. The first is the V45 kit that pushes output to 395 horsepower and 358 lb-ft. of torque with a 174 mph top speed. The hardcore V45RS pushes the four-pot even further, reaching a whopping 446 horsepower and 398 lb-ft. of torque. Both tunes are available with a stainless steel downpipe with 200-cell catalytic converter and/or a stainless steel valve-controlled axle-back exhaust with dual 110 x 90 mm pipes. A fuel cooler to make the fuel dense can be installed as well as a transmission oil cooler.
Handling all of that extra power isn’t an easy task, but VAETH has the goods to make the Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG a workhorse. The factory wheel and tire setup was swapped out for new one-piece 9.0J x 20 wheels wearing a high-gloss black finish with turned face.
Behind the new wheels sits a performance-oriented suspension benefitting from new set of lowering springs that reduce the center of gravity by 30 mm. This is paired up with a new brake optimization kit that tacks on new steel flex lines, SRF racing fluid, and vehicle approval.
Visually, the VAETH Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG is also more aggressive. This comes thanks to a new set of carbon fiber aerodynamics that includes a front spoiler lip, rear diffuser, and trunk spoiler lip.
Inside the VAETH GLA 45 AMG sits a new sports steering wheel with leather/leather design with optional carbon fiber or wood inserts. Aluminum pedals and optional black velvet floor mats with silver VAETH logos are also available.
