Owning a Real Exotic – The Lamborghini Countach

Longing for the old days…

There was once a time when an exotic was really an exotic car; something that turned heads, drew a crowd, and was worn on bedroom walls representing a dream for children everywhere. Even though we are seeing some futuristic designs with all sorts of modern technology and incredible performance today, it seems as though the days of the true exotic are gone, or at the most limited.

The Lamborghini Countach was one such exotic car that evoked a sense of passion and had an awe factor that is absent from the super cars of modern times. It was incredibly low, had scissor doors that made entering the front seats a task, windows that barely rolled down, and an air conditioning system that was best left off. If it had been built today, it would be a big middle finger to everybody in the automotive world, but would never be able to see production due to Federal laws, safety standards, and all of that fun stuff.

The Countach was all about style and threw functionality out of the window. It’s a true exotic and still works its magic by getting people to look up from their smartphones and admire true automotive beauty.

We can only hope that people like James Chen, Owner of Axis Wheels, keep the spirit of the exotic alive for years to come.
