The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is the pinnacle of luxury and prestige wearing the three-pointed star. It has power, comfort, all the amenities, and an elegant confidence that sets it apart from any luxury sedan on the road. The Brabus Mercedes-Maybach S 600 takes all of that to the extreme.
Under the hood of the massive luxury sedan sits a 6.3-liter V-12 that benefits from the Brabus Rocket 900 6.3 V12 upgrade program. The standard 6.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V-12 gains a new Brabus billet crankshaft with longer stroke, a cylinder bore, forged pistons, and precision-balanced connecting rods to bump displacement up to 6.3 liters. Both factory turbochargers were replaced with new larger units aided by new exhaust manifolds. These are connected to 80 mm downpipes, free-flow metal catalytic converters, and stainless steel exhaust system with active butterfly valves. A carbon fiber Brabus 900 intake module sucks in air from the new radiator grille and incorporates a new intake manifold with larger air filter housing, and “Gold Heat Reflection” sheathing.
After a custom-tailored ECU tune, the Brabus-Maybach S 600 puts down an astonishing 900 horsepower (887 bhp) at 5,500 RPM and 1,106 lb-ft. of torque from 4,200 RPM. All that comes within the strict Euro VI emissions standards. The upgrade lives up to its Rocket nickname by reaching 62 mph from rest in 3.7 seconds and hitting a top speed over 217 mph.
Brabus also offers the Mercedes-Maybach S 500 a B50-540 performance kit that boosts performance of the V-8 engine by 85 horsepower and 88 lb-ft. of torque.
In order to handle all of that power in elegant fashion, the Brabus Mercedes-Maybach S 600 was given a new set of specially-designed Brabus Monoblock VI Evo or Monoblock R Platinum Edition forged wheels. The wheels are installed in a commanding 9.0J x 21 front and 10.5J x 21 rear fitment with Continental, Pirelli, or Yokohama high-performance tires measuring 255/35 ZR21 and 295/30 ZR21. The new forged wheels are paired up with a Brabus module designed for the Magic Body Control suspension that lowers the ride height by 25 mm (1.0 inches) without taking away from the supple ride quality.
The classy design of the Mercedes-Maybach S 600 also benefits from a more commanding Brabus PUR aerodynamic body work. Up front, a new radiator grille, LED daytime running lights, and new bumper with larger intakes and integrated spoiler optimizes airflow and reduces lift. A new rear bumper integrates the four chrome tailpipes in the Brabus exhaust system and a diffuser that helps keep that butt stuck to the asphalt.
With the Mercedes-Maybach S 600 being the ultimate in luxury from the German automaker, the Brabus upholstery department had to go above and beyond to really create a cabin that takes the factory design a step further. Brabus offers customers an unlimited variety of leather and alcantara colors with any kind of design and stitching. Precious wood, carbon fiber trim sets, and other materials can be added in any color or finish as well. Facing drivers is also a 400 km/h digital speedometer. Making the interior even better is the Brabus iBusiness system with Apple computer technology for the latest in entertainment and communication.
The new Brabus Mercedes-Maybach S 600 is available as a completely custom-tailored upgrade program. Customers with the S 500 can also take advantage of the vast array of upgrades from Brabus.
