High class power.

The new W222 Mercedes-Benz S-Class has again raised the bar in the luxury segment. Its use of technology, classic styling, and wealth of comforts easily make it one of the best full-size luxury sedans on the market. The new Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG raised the bar even higher when it came to performance, but it’s being raised again with the new Brabus W222 S-Class upgrade program for a variety of variants including the S63 AMG.

The new Brabus W222 S-Class upgrade program takes on all both the 4.7-liter and 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged engines found in the mighty luxury sedan and its AMG variant with three different tuning programs.

Starting things off is the Brabus B50 – 520 PowerXtra CGI kit for the Mercedes-Benz S 500 with the 4.7-liter engine. The kit includes a new software tune that optimizes the ignition, timing, and boost pressure for the engine, making output jump to 520 horsepower (512 bhp) and 604 lb-ft. of torque. This, along with the Brabus Vmax unit, allows the S 500 reach an electronically-limited top speed of 155-, 168-, or 186 mph.

Next up in the Brabus W222 performance catalog is the S 63 AMG. The 5.5-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine can be outfitted with the BRABUS B63 – 650 PowerXtra CGI for customers that want a moderate increase in power. The kit includes an ECU tune that bumps output up to 650 horsepower (641 bhp) at 5,500 RPM and 737 lb-ft. of torque from 2,250 to 3,750 RPM.

But the biggest and baddest upgrade in the Brabus W222 lineup is the B63S – 730 high-performance. The kit includes the special Gold Heat Reflection System for the intake and charge air piping, a pair of new turbochargers, a low-temperature water radiator for the intercooler system, and a free-flow exhaust with metal catalytic converters and 75 mm downpipes for optimized backpressure. Everything is tied together with an ECU tune and the result is an astonishing 730 horsepower (720 bhp) at 5,300 RPM and electronically-limited 785 lb-ft. of torque from 1,750 to 5,000 RPM. The upgrade also comes with a 202-mph top speed limiter.

Helping to put all that power to the asphalt is a range of 19-, 20-, and 21-inch wheels as part of the Brabus W222 program. The largest model available is the mirror-polished Platinum Edition Monoblock VI or F cross-spoke forged wheels in a large 9.0J x 21 and 10.5J x 21 rear setup paired up with either Pirelli, Continental, or YOKOHAMA tires measuring 255/30 ZR 21 and 295/30 ZR 21. Brabus also designed new control modules for S-Classes equipped with AIRMATIC or Active Boxy Control suspensions, which lower the overall height by 15 mm.

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class can be equipped with a full front and rear aerodynamic kit made from PUR-RIM and carbon fiber. The components are all tested in a wind tunnel and reduce lift at the front and rear axles for better high-speed stability.

The Brabus W222 program also includes a full range of interior upgrades ranging from illuminated door entry sills to a Brabus multimedia system. Customers can choose from a variety of fine leather, Mastik leather, and alcantara in a variety of colors and stitching patterns.

The new Brabus W222 Mercedes-Benz S-Class upgrade program is available as a complete package or individual upgrades. Each component comes standard with a three-year/100,000 km (62,000 mile) Brabus warranty as well.
