The Audi RS5 is the most exciting and driver-oriented model in the A5 line. Its high-revving V-8 engine is intoxicating and its advanced all-wheel drive system claws at the pavement, holding it in place through high-speed corners. Its S5 sibling is still quite the performer, but the team at Senner Tuning has created an upgrade program that has all of the flash and dazzle of the RS5 along with a potent supercharged V-6 engine.
The 3.0-liter supercharged V-6 that powers the Audi S5 may be missing two cylinders, but that didn’t keep Senner Tuning from boosting it to power levels that rival the 4.2-liter V-8 in the RS5. A new engine tune along with a performance air filter, four=pipe exhaust post-catalytic converter with downpipe and exhaust flaps help to increase output by a healthy 100 ponies. The standard 329 bhp and 317 lb-ft. output was pushed up to 429 bhp and 369 lb-ft. of torque with the modifications and results in some thrilling performance figures. The featured Ibis White model by Senner Tuning was also given a two-piece engine cover as well as a power converter that improves the Audi S5’s throttle response. The engine upgrade also comes with a Vmax module that removes the standard 155 mph top speed limiter and allows for drivers to push the two-door coupe to new heights.
The most noticeable aspect of the transformation outside of pressing the throttle is the new RS5-style exterior design. The featured Ibis White Audi S5 was given a new RS5-styled bumper with original RS5 air intakes and grille while a new spoiler helps generate downforce. The rear of the car sports an RS5-style bumper with exhaust outlets, an RS5-like rear spoiler, and special rear windshield spoiler. Both the front and rear Audi ring logos were finished in black to contrast the vibrant white paint and “Supercharged” badges were fitted to each of the front fenders. The finishing touches were a pair of carbon fiber side mirrors and carbon fiber side skirts.
While the RS5 may be more competent on the track, the Senner Tuning S5 isn’t far behind. The chassis was upgraded with a new KW coilover suspension with variable height and rebound that provides sharper handling without sacrificing ride comfort or drivability. A set of Work VS-XX lightweight alloy wheels were installed in a 9.0 x 20 front and 10.5 x 20 rear setup and finished with mirror anodized lips and black anodized centers. Each wheel was fitted with new Vredestein Ultra Sessanta in a 245/30R20 front and 295/25R20 rear setup to improve grip and overall performance.
The wonderful mix of red and black nappa leather with contrasting stitching that was factory installed in the Audi S5 was complemented with a host of other interior upgrades by Senner Tuning. A set of 600-carbon fiber trim was installed throughout the cockpit including the door extensions with RS5 handles and illumination. Staring the driver in the face is a new Audi R8 Sport steering wheel with flat-bottom, red indicator, and paddle shifters. Customers can also opt for a new DVD system to provide entertainment to passengers on long drives.
Senner Tuning is offering the entire upgrade program for the refreshed 2012+ MY Audi S5 for 99,700 Euros including the price of the original vehicle and upgrades. The featured Ibis White Senner Tuning Audi S5 with January 2012 registration and approximately 4,000 km is available for purchase for 69,990 Euros.
