Porsche Tequipment Exposed

997.2 Porsche Tequipment

Four new individual accessories for your Porsche.

To give your Porsche an unmistakable look, Porsche has introduced four new sport-oriented components for the Porsche model range. The new 997.2 Porsche Tequipment accessories are factory-engineered, ensuring the highest quality. New bodywork, PDK steering wheel, and retro wheels are now available to give your Porsche a distinct character.

In 1966 Porsche introduced the Fuchs wheel on the 911, a high quality forged alloy wheel that required a 58-step build process. The light alloy Fuchs became highly sought-after by Porsche enthusiasts for it’s unique appearance and high quality. For the 2010 911 Sport Classic, Porsche revived the classic Fuchs design in a limited run of 250 cars. Now through Porsche Tequipment, the same five-spoke 19-inch Sport Classic wheels are available for all current all-wheel drive 911 models. The 19-inch wheels feature a black rim star with a wheel hump in a gloss-lathed finish and a colored Porsche crest on the wheel hub. The wheels measure 8.5 J x 19 ET 55 at the front and 11.5 J x 19 ET 50 at the rear, and are shod in 235/35 ZR 19 front and 305/30 ZR 19 rear tires. A set of the Sport Classic wheels is available for € 5,569.20 (+/- 7,100 USD) (€ 5,866.70 (+/- 7,500 USD) for cars with TPMS).

For models equipped with PDK, 997.2 Porsche Tequipment has introduced a three-spoke steering wheel with gearshift paddles. Drawing upon its motorsport heritage, Porsche has designed the steering wheel so that the paddles are behind the right and left spokes, and provide effortless manual gearshifts. The leather steering wheel can be retrofitted into any 911, Panamera, Cayman, and Boxster equipped with PDK for € 940.10 (+/- 1,200 USD). In August of 2010, the steering wheel will also be available on the Cayenne with Tiptronic S.

To give the 911 Carrera Coupé models an individual and sporty appearance, 997.2 Porsche Tequipment offers the Aerokit Cup. The Aerokit Cup was designed by Porsche in a wind tunnel to optimize the 911’s aerodynamic characteristics. At the front is a new bumper and spoiler lip to reduce lift, and a larger center air intake. The rear sports a new engine lid and large wing for increased downforce. The Aerokit Cup is available on all new 911 Carrera Coupé models for € 4,968.25 (+/- 6,300 USD). For current 911 Carrera Coupé models, the Aerokit Cup can be retrofitted for € 4,522.00 (+/- 5,700 USD) plus fitting and painting.

On both the 911 Targa and Cabriolet models the Aerokit Cup is not available. Instead, 997.2 Porsche Tequipment offers a distinct Aerokit for the Cabriolet and Targa models. The Aerokit includes a Sport Design front bumper, featuring a front spoiler lip that compliments the standard rear spoiler. The Aerokit is available on new 911 Cabriolet and Targa models for € 2,368.10 (+/- 3,000 USD). It can also be retrofitted to any current 911 Cabriolet and Taraga models for € 2,159.85 (+/- 2,700 USD) plus fitting and paintwork.
