Speed Box Black Cat Camaro Exposed

Force-fed American muscle.

In Detroit, Michigan, the Motor City, the muscle car wars are back on between the Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang. With the king of muscle being crowned on both the drag strip and racetrack, Speed Box has developed the Black Cat tuning program to give the Camaro SS a leg up on the Mustang GT.

The Black Cat Camaro utilizes the strong 6.2-liter LS3 V-8 engine that produces a thundering 426 horsepower stock. But, this wasn’t enough for Speed Box, so the German tuner developed a new compressor kit for even more tire-shredding power. In addition to the compressor kit, the Black Cat also sports a stainless steel BORLA to unleash the ferocious roar of the V-8. Both upgrades boost output to 625 horsepower – 199 more than stock!

The Black Cat Camaro is no sleeper with its force-fed V-8. A new hood with large power dome proudly shows off the additional ponies underneath, daring other drivers to take part in a stop light drag race. Speed Box has also dressed the Black Cat in a matte black exterior paint, giving the Camaro a sinister appearance.

As part of the program, Speed Box can equip the Black Cat with new wheels and an upgraded suspension. Seven-spoke Rhino wheels from Schmidt Revolution measuring 10 x 22 up front and 11 x 22 at the rear are fitted and feature a weatherproof stainless steel face plate. The 22-inch wheels wear new 265/30 R 22 front and 295/25 R 22 rear performance tires for additional grip. If the 22-inch wheels are too large for the customer, optional 9 x 20 wheels are also available. Speed Box can also install H&R coilovers and stabilizers that not only make the Black Cat appear as though it is ready to pounce, but improves the handling and driving dynamics of the muscle car.

The complete Speed Box Black Cat Camaro tuning program for the Chevrolet Camaro is currently available. Customers can also choose to order individual upgrades. Pricing for the compressor kit is € 8,999 (+/- 12,200 USD) while the BORLA exhaust is € 999 (+/- 1,300 USD). The complete matte black exterior is available for € 3,500 (+/- 4,700 USD), while the wheel and tire set is priced at € 3,399 (+/- 4,600 USD). The H&R coilover kit can be purchased for € 1,272 (+/- 1,700 USD), with the stabilizers add an additional € 530 (+/- 700 USD) to the final price.
