speedART’s mean and green speedHYBRID 450 Exposed

The latest Cayenne from speedART is quick on its feet with 450 hp. Oh, and it’s a hybrid.

Who says that performance has to be sacrificed with a hybrid powertrain? Not speedART, the Porsche tuner from Stuttgart who has transformed the new Cayenne S Hybrid into a powerful beast. The conversion gives the Cayenne an even sportier ride, while a new blue paintjob and forged wheels create a stunning look all while maintaining excellent fuel economy.

Powering the Cayenne to a greener future is the 333 horsepower supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 from Audi mated to a 35 kW (47 hp) electric motor for a combined total of 380 horsepower. Without tampering with the Cayenne’s electric mode, speedART was able to increase power by 70 horses, bringing output up to 450 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. This results in a 0-62 acceleration time of 6.0 seconds, down half a second from the stock Hybrid. Top speed also rises by 6 mph over the stock Hybrid and 14 mph over the base Cayenne V-6 to an impressive 157 mph. With the added power, the speedHYBRID 450 can also achieve the same gas mileage as the stock Hybrid model and not affect either the Sport- or E-Power modes.

To give the engine a bit more character speedART has added a new 100 mm quad exhaust system with a sound switch. The supercharged V-6 also gets a new outfit as well, wearing new plastic bearing the speedART speedHYBRID 450 logo and with matching blue trim.

For a more unique look than the uniform Cayenne Hybrid, speedART has added a new paint scheme and lightweight wheels. With Porsche’s Sand White as a base color, a contrasting light blue paint stripe runs from both the hood to the rear and along the sides of the  speedART speedHYBRID 450. The color also highlights the side mirrors and rear spoiler for an even sportier look. For increased performance without sacrificing fuel consumption, speedART has added the 22-inch LSC Forged three-piece wheels that weigh the same as a set of the 21-inch cast wheels. Measuring 9.5 x 22 up front with 275/30 ZR22 tires and 11 x 22 and 315/30 ZR22 at the rear, the forged wheels can be ordered in a custom color for the customer. To complete the look, speedART offers either an electric lowering module for vehicles equipped with air suspension or conventional lowering springs for vehicles the conventional suspension.

For the interior, speedART has added a few pieces that bring out the sporty character of the speedHYBRID 450. A new steering wheel with paddle shifters offers greater grip and comfort, while a blue instrument dial faces the driver. Displaying the boost pressure from the supercharger is a new blue boost gauge stationed in the center of the dashboard for easy viewing. To match the paint, the black speedART floor mats are trimmed in blue.

The speedART speedHYBRID 450 is currently available as a complete kit. Customers can also purchase individual options for their Cayenne Hybrid. Later this year, speedART will be debuting two new aerodynamic body kits for the Cayenne model line for a more unique appearance.
