Vivid Racing, the Arizona based aftermarket tuning company and distributor has been working on building the ultimate 997 Porsche 911 Turbo for the past few years. What started out as a basic 911 Turbo has become the VR825 997 Turbo that is capable of speeds well over 200 mph.

The entire Vivid Racing Porsche 911 Turbo wears an aerodynamic body kit from Vorsteiner. At the front of the car sits a Vorsteiner Clubsport carbon fiber hood that reduces the overall weight of the car. The front of the aerodynamic kit includes a new front bumper with LED daytime running lights, larger air intakes, and a front spoiler to improve downforce. New side skirts help to channel air away from the wheel wells while a large rear wing generates ample downforce, and a new bumper helps to ventilate the brakes and keep the car grounded.

Vivid Racing also took steps to make the 911 Turbo lighter and more nimble on its feet. The set of stock wheels was replaced with competition C93 forged aluminum alloys from HRE Performance Wheels. The three-piece forged wheels weigh less than the stock Turbo rims and reduce the rotational mass for better overall performance. The Vivid Racing Porsche 997 Turbo wears the C93 wheels in a 19.85 front and 19×11 rear fitment. Each wheel was given a custom matte black finish with chrome red lips to symbolize power and speed. Behind each wheel, Vivid Racing installed new KW Variant 3 coilovers and Agency Power sway bars for precise handling and better dynamics.

The most exciting part of the Vivid Racing Porsche 911 Turbo is the engine. The flat-six engine is fed 1.6 BAR of boost pressure thanks to the VR825 kit. The kit includes a complete revision of engine electronics, new Garrett GT3076rs turbochargers, Agency Power upgrades, and dyno testing. The upgrade is capable of producing up to 1,000 horsepower, but has been scaled back to approximately 800 in the Vivid Racing Porsche 911 Turbo demo car. The kit also includes a custom valvetronic exhaust system that uses remote controlled valves to adjust the volume of the exhaust note. With the VR825 upgrade, Vivid Racing was able to achieve a 206.2 mph run in the full mile with the demo car.

The Vivid Racing Porsche 911 Turbo features upgrades that can be purchased individually or as a complete package from the Arizona based company. The entire VR825 power pack is currently available for $15,995 with additional options extra. For more information on the upgrade program, visit VividRacing.com.
