Watch a Hamann Volcano SLR Drive, Rev, and Get Towed

Not a good night out for the modified supercar.

The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren was one of the best supercars during its reign of power. Its supercharged 5.4-liter V-8 engine threw down the power and 200 mph was an easy feat. Then, Hamann Motorsport took it a step further with their Volcano upgrade program with more power, aerodynamics, and all sorts of other fun stuff.

Seeing a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is rare and a Hamann Volcano is even more uncommon. Thanks to Marchettino, there’s video of the unique supercar driving, revving, and even breaking down. The 700 horsepower, 575 lb-ft. of torque coming from the tuned engine is enough to propel the Hamann Volcano to 62 mph in 3.6 seconds and to a top speed of over 216 mph, but it wasn’t enough to keep it off of a tow truck.

The Hamann Volcano went out for a drive and night on the town and then ended up breaking down unexpectedly the night after and had to be towed. Seeing your gaudy, but very fast supercar get towed must be pretty embarrassing.

How would you feel if your Hamann Volcano broke down and was towed?
