Wetterau Engineering Mini Countryman R60 Tuning Exposed

The world’s fastest Tootsie Roll.

The newest addition to the Mini lineup is the Countryman, a crossover SUV with all-wheel drive. Whoever would’ve thought that one day Mini would offer an SUV? But, the Countryman still offers the same Mini driving dynamics and feel we’ve all come to expect from the marque, especially with the new R60 tuning program from Wetterau Engineering.

The most striking aspect of the Wetterau Mini Countryman is the matte brown paint that covers almost the entire exterior. Wetterau Engineering has contrasted the distinct paint with carbon fiber side mirrors, front and rear valences, side skirts, roof spoiler, and roof. Even the 8.5 x 18 ATS light alloy wheels are finished in polished chocolate brown. New 225/45 R18 Bridgestone Potenza tires are fitted for added grip while H&R suspension springs lower the Countryman and provide better handling.

This chocolaty Mini morsel also packs a punch. The new 1.6-liter turbo-four engine has been given a significant power boost with the new Wetterau tuning program. The stock 184 horsepower and 177 lb-ft. of torque is increased to 235 horsepower and 262 lb-ft. To achieve this increase in power, Wetterau has installed a new carbon fiber airbox, ECU tune, and full exhaust system with 200-cell catalytic converter and ceramic tailpipes.

Even the interior is a rich combination of milk and dark chocolate. All of the seats have been replaced with weight-optimized full-carboxylic Cobra seats with fine English leather, lumbar support, and even heating for the front passengers. For convenience, customers can also choose to install an iPhone/iPad dock in the center console.

The entire Wetterau Engineering Mini Countryman R60 tuning program is currently available from the German company. Pricing has not been released.
