Wrapped, Lowered, and Tuned – The Fostla Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 CDI

The four-door coupe gets even better.

The Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class created and has been the benchmark in the four-door coupe market since it first hit the market, and for good reason. It’s sleek and smooth style coupled with that classic, high-end Mercedes-Benz feel makes it a favorite in the segment. The second-generation model is no different, and still sits at the top of the field. The team at Fostla, however, has been able to take a good thing and make it even better with a new wrap, tune, and wheel fitment.

The featured oil-burning Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 CDI was first given a full Prior Design PD550 Black Edition aerodynamic kit. The new kit gives a more dynamic and athletic appearance to the four-door coupe by adding on new bumpers, side skirts, hood, spoiler, and extended front and rear fenders to create a wider, more imposing stance. After the kit was installed, Fostla installed a Bond-Gold-Matte-Metallic PWF-foil wrap across the entire body of the CLS. Contrasting red applications on the front spoiler lip and rear diffuser bar were applied while the badges, headlights, and taillights were tinted.

While the 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6 sitting under the hood of the Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 CDI isn’t the most powerful motor in the lineup, it still has a healthy dose of fun injected into it thanks to some tuning. Fostla enlisted the help of PP-Performance to install some new engine software that bumps output from 265 horsepower and 457 lb-ft. of torque to a healthy 310 horsepower and 516 lb-ft. The power boost is paired up with a set of tailpipes from the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Black Series for a more potent sound.

The final stage of the transformation is a new stance. The factory wheels were swapped out for a set of Vossen CVT wheels with a ten-spoke, turbine-style concave design. The powdercoated matte-gold-finished wheels were installed in a staggered 9.0 x 20 front and 10.5 x 20 rear fitment with low-profile tires that perfectly fill in the extended fenders. The finishing touch is a new lowering module that can raise/lower the height via a button on the steering wheel.

All of the featured upgrades on the Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 CDI are available as an entire package for about 16,000 Euros from Fostla or as individual accessories.
