The Vaeth V63 Black Series is a Boosted AMG Hammer

Forced induction for the most powerful C-Class ever.

The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series Coupe is the most powerful C-Class ever made by the German automaker and is a track day monster built to shred tires and race across the finish line in a brutal cloud of smoke. But it wasn’t enough for the team at Vaeth, who decided to add a bit of forced induction and some other performance goodies to the sports car with their new V63 Black Series.

If you thought the C63 AMG Black Series Coupe was all about getting from point A to point B in the fastest way possible while making as much noise from its 6.2-liter V-8 and screeching tires, then you haven’t met the Vaeth V63 Black Series. Take the spine tingling brutality of the standard model and crank it up past ten, because that’s exactly what you get in the Vaeth V63 Black Series.

The 510 horsepower and 457 lb-ft. of torque that the coupe comes with from the factory seems a bit dull after Vaeth is finished with its transformation. The German tuner begins by installing a supercharger system atop the V-8 and a specially designed water-charger air cooler system. The stock exhaust can be replaced with a M156 stainless steel exhaust manifold, catalytic converter, and rear muffler with flap controls to let out a menacing growl. The ECU was then retuned to ensure that all the new components work together harmoniously. The end result is an insane 756 horsepower and 590 lb-ft. of torque, rocketing the car to 62 mph in just 3.6 seconds. The top speed for the Vaeth V63 Black Series is also pushed back to 217.5 mph with the power upgrades, requiring new tires to handle the added speed.

While the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series Coupe was designed to handle extra power from the 6.2-liter and hardcore track time, Vaeth needed to upgrade certain aspects of the chassis in order for the car to handle the extra 246 horsepower. The entire suspension was upgraded with a new setup along with adjustable shock absorbers that allow for a ride height between 20- and 65 mm lower than the standard model. Next up for the Vaeth V63 Black Series was a new set of brakes, which included a new pair of 405 mm discs and stainless steel flex lines up front. Masking these new upgrades from sight are a new set of three-piece forged wheels in a 9 x 20 front and 11 x 20 rear setup with corresponding 255/30 R20 and 295/25 R20 high-speed tires.

Vaeth chose to go light on the styling modifications as most of the driver’s, passenger’s, and observer’s focus will be on the vast amount of power being supplied to the rear wheels. Customers can upgrade the exterior with a starless front grille in black, while the interior gains a sport steering wheel with leather and wood, carbon fiber, or woodwork, and a 400 km/h speedometer.

The Vaeth V63 Black Series is currently available as a complete package or with individual accessories. The entire engine upgrade is priced at € 38,500 (+/- 48,000 USD). Pricing for other upgrades can be found through the Vaeth website.
