M-performance time.

Leib Engineering has gotten their hands dirty in the past with cars such as the E92 GT300 and M3 GT500. Now their shifting their focus to the smallest M-powered sports car of them all, the BMW 1 M Coupe. Their latest program offers customers a wide range of power along with some custom-tailored designs to make their low-volume sports car even more exclusive.

Beneath the hood of the BMW 1 M Coupe sits a N54B30 turbocharged inline-six that cranks out an impressive 335 horsepower and 332 lb-ft. of torque in stock form. But, that wasn’t enough. The first stage of performance upgrades from Leib Engineering pushes the 3.0-liter to 395 horsepower and 413 lb-ft. of torque. Additionally, customers can opt for a flap exhaust system made by Supersprint that is designed to prevent a loss of power when the flaps are closed. The flap can be controlled by a steering wheel-mounted button and varies sound from a quiet him to a thunderous roar.

Customers that are seeking all-out performance can opt for the Leib Engineering full upgrade package that includes larger turbochargers, a larger air intake system, and optimized cooling system in addition to the exhaust. A software tune ties everything together and removes the top speed limiter, allowing the 1 M Coupe to reach 190 mph. The result of the upgrades is a total of 493 horsepower and 443 lb-ft. of torque.

After all the performance upgrades were installed, one Swiss customer had Leib Engineering modify their entire BMW 1 M Coupe. The sports car was given a matte grey wrap with checkered plate look and company logos with a three-dimensional design from the company streetworkz customz. The wrap also partially covers the BMW Performance carbon rear spoiler, while the newly-installed Alpha-N rear diffuser was kept bare to show off its carbon fiber construction.

The chassis of the BMW 1 M Coupe was also fine tuned by Leib Engineering. The suspension was equipped with a Bilstein B16 PSS10 threaded chassis that lowers the ride height and sharpens handling. The final touch is a set of 10.0 x 20 one-piece Bavaria BC5 Concave wheels with a baby blue powder coated finish wearing 255/30R20 front and 275/30R20 rear Yokohama Advan tires.

Leib Engineering offers a variety of options and performance tunes for the BMW 1 Series M Coupe along with other aesthetic and performance options. Pricing has not been released.
