Novitec Torado Drops the Power on the Huracan Spyder

Dropping the top and carving up corners in style.

The Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder is ready for anything after the team at Novitec Torado got their hands on it. From the aerodynamics shaped in the wind tunnel, to the lightweight forged wheels, and even the twin-supercharger system being developed for the V-10 engine, the new German-upgraded Italian drop-top is ready to take it to the higher-powered exotic competition.

The sharp, angular design of the factory Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder bodywork was taken a step further by Novitec Torado with their new aerodynamic kit that’s optionally available in naked carbon fiber. The factory front bumper was outfitted with a new spoiler, central front blade, and side flaps that generate downforce up front. A new truck deck with air ducts on either side helps to reduce lift even further.

As air travels towards the rear, it’s sliced by two carbon fiber mirror covers and new side skirts with razor-sharp air inlets. The rear of the Huracan Spyder benefits from a new Novitec Rosso engine cover that sits above the new molding between the taillights. To generate downforce and balance the stability between both axles, Novitec Torado installed a new spoiler lip and diffuser combo, the former of which can be optionally replaced with a larger aerofoil.

Complementing the jagged aerodynamics of the Novitec Torado Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder are new three-piece NL1 forged wheels. The tailor-made alloys offer a low overall weight, which lends to improved overall performance. The five-spoke wheels measure a staggered 9.0J x 20 up front and 12.5J x 21 at the rear, and are shod in 245/30 ZR20 and 325/25 ZR21 Pirelli P Zero high-performance tires.

While the P Zero rubber generates a tremendous amount of grip, the drop-top super car also benefits from new sport springs that reduce the center of gravity by approximately 35 mm for better overall handling. The Novitec Torado team is also currently developing a new height-adjustable coilover suspension as well.

Also in development is a twin-supercharged system for the 5.2-liter V-10 engine that will increase output to approximately 860 horsepower and 708 lb-ft. of torque. For now, customers can order a range of sport exhaust systems with optional butterfly valves that can be adjusted at the push of a button from inside the cockpit. Customers that want something lighter than stainless steel can opt for the available Inconel exhaust that cuts a significant amount of weight and combine it with lightweight sport catalytic converters.

The team at Novitec Torado can also redesign the entire interior of the Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder with an array of leather and alcantara as well as other materials.

The full range of Novitec Torado upgrades are currently available for the Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder and Coupe models.
