Quick, effective tunes with lots of power.

The newly-turbocharged 991.2-generation Porsche 911 Carrera S models now hold even more upgrade potential than ever before, just like their Turbo S big brothers. TechArt is taking advantage of the new force-fed nature of the Carrera S models and turning up the fun in the Turbo S models as well with their new Techtronic Powerkits.

“The power output of a genuine TechArt powerkit is reliable, durable and repeatable. We do not announce generalized power promises in percentage statements. During the development of the individual engine map, we can predict the maximum power output which will still maintain long-term operation without overstressing engine and drivetrain. This procedure and a power increase rating in absolute numbers is a basic requirement for an EC-type approval,” said says Moritz Renner, automotive mechatronics engineer at the TECHART development and testing department.

Each one of the TechArt Powerkits is integrated into the 911’s CAN data bus system without affecting the factory diagnostic and protection features. The kit can be easily installed by a TechArt distributor or qualified service center, and comes with an engine and drivetrain warranty with up to 75,000 euros of protection.

In the Porsche 911, drivers can activate the TechArt Powerkit by switching into the ‘Sport’ or ‘Sport Plus’ modes via the Sport Button in the center console or the selector on the steering wheel. In ‘Normal’ mode, the Powerkit is inactive and the vehicle operates under its standard power and driving characteristics.

In the new 991.2 twin-turbocharged Porsche 911 Carrera S models, the TechArt TA 091/S1 Powerkit is used to produce a total of 480 horsepower and 428 lb-ft. of torque. That allows the Carrera S Coupe to reach 62 mph from rest in ‘Sport Plus’ mode in just 3.7 seconds while the top speed is pushed back to 193 mph.

For the 991.2 Porsche 911 Turbo S models, TechArt uses their TA 091/T1.1 Powerkit to produce a total of 640 horsepower and 649 lb-ft. of torque. For the 911 Turbo S Coupe, this results in a 0-62 mph acceleration time of just 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 210 mph.
