The 195 mph G-Power M5 BMW F10 Exposed

G-Power BMW F10 M5

This is just the beginning.

G-Power has made a name for itself by tuning BMW models, some of the fastest being based on the BMW M5. Their first program for the new F10 BMW M5 transforms it into an excellent performer, but is just the beginning for the German tuning company.

The starting point for the G-Power M5 was the 4.4-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine. The German tuner developed the Bi-Tronik III system that injects a healthy dose of power for the engine. Each G-Power BMW M5 is individually tuned to ensure maximum quality and reliability. The system increases the boost pressure and adjusts the fuel and ignition timing to increase output by 80 horsepower and 69 lb-ft. of torque. G-Power also equipped the new F10 M5 with a stainless steel quad-pipe rear muffler with DEEPTONE technology for a head-turning, quality exhaust note.

After the G-Power BMW Bi-Tronik III upgrade, output climbs all the way to 640 horsepower from 6,000 to 7,000 RPM and 573 lb-ft. at 1,500 RPM. Due to the torque increase, G-Power has tuned the electronics so that the torque briefly decreases during shifts to reduce stress on the transmission and ensure reliable performance. Performance has also improved with the new G-Power M5 Bi-Tronik III upgrade. Acceleration to 62 mph drops down to just 3.9 seconds and top speed increases to 195.73 mph (315 km/h).

The next step for the G-Power BMW team was to upgrade the chassis for more dynamic performance. A new G-Power GM5-RS coil-over suspension was installed and offers drivers nine different bound and rebound settings to create the optimum setup for a given track.

The G-Power M5 also benefits from two different sets of wheels. Customers have the option of 21-inch G-Power Silverstone RS or 21-inch Silverstone Clubsport forged wheels. Both wheel features a double-spoke design and wear 265/30 ZR21 front and 305/25 ZR21Michelin sport tires. The Silverstone Clubsport forged wheels offer drivers a new level of performance due to their low overall weight.

Bringing the F10 M5 sedan to a forceful halt is a new G-Power braking system. The ceramic brake system prevents fade, increases heat dissipation, and also reduces weight at the wheel hub for better overall performance. Up front sit 420 mm discs clenched by six-piston calipers while the rear utilizes 380 mm discs to produce an incredible amount of stopping power. New brake pads with a larger pad area and friction rate are used along with metal-coated brake lines to complete the high-performance package.

The entire G-Power M5 upgrade package is currently available as a complete kit or individual accessories. The wheel and tire package can be purchased for 8,325 Euros (+/- 11,000 USD), GM5-RS coil-over suspension for 2,179.83 Euros (+/- 2,900 USD), and the ceramic braking system for the front axle for 14,460.50 Euros (+/- 19,000 USD) and the rear for 11,778.15 Euros (+/- 15,600 USD). The Bi-Tronik III engine upgrade including individual tuning is priced at 3,920.17 Euros (+/- 5,200 USD). The German tuner also assures that the new F10 M5 upgrade program is just the beginning and more powerful M5 variants will be unveiled in the future.
