BMW, like many automakers, has its sights locked on the future with its high-tech hybrid goals. The BMW i8 brought plug-in hybrid innovation to the sports car game with environmental responsibility. The exotic and futuristic design has been taken to another level by SR Auto Group with a new set of PUR 4OUR forged wheels.
The plug-in hybrid BMW i8 features a turbocharged inline-three cylinder engine and a 7.1 kWh lithium-ion battery that helps achieve a respectable power output and incredibly low emissions and consumption figures. Its design is unlike anything else on the market and finding the right set of wheels can be somewhat of a challenge.
But SR Auto Group in Vancouver, Canada, have found the perfect set with a unique finish that’s right at home on the i8. The relatively lightweight plug-in hybrid sports car was outfitted with a set of PUR 4OUR forged monoblock wheels made from aerospace-grade 6061-T6 aluminum alloy. Each wheel boasts a low overall mass thanks to the forging construction process and lightweight side pocketing for improved overall performance.
On this BMW i8, the PUR 4OUR wheels were installed in a 9.0 x 22 front and 10.5 x 22 rear setup with the latter showcasing a slightly deeper concave. A unique Matte Electric Blue finish is worn that perfectly matches the factory blue accents on the BWM i8 to create a stunning, eye-catching aesthetic.
To complete the fitment, SR Auto Group added new H&R lowing springs that reduce the ride height just a tad for better overall handling.
It’s clear that future is now with this BMW i8 on PUR 4OUR wheels.
